pecans....i think....

Date: November 26, 2007 07:36PM at the market i found some raw nuts still in their shells....labeled "nozes", which is portuguese for nuts. so i bought some to try, not knowing exactly what type they were.
got home, cracked one open....looks and tastes exactly like a pecan!! they were so cheap, they couldn't have been imported, and i'm pretty positive brazil doesn't have many pecan trees....what else could they have been? another question....is it beneficial to soak pecans like it is for almonds and such? thanks! michelle Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
