Date: December 30, 2007 08:19PM I am transitioning and just wondering what you guys eat on days when you work out...have done my normal workout this morning (around 2 hours mixture of cardio and weights) and I have been SOOOO hungry all day! Can't seem to get full and am craving grains big time and generally being grouchy.
I didn't eat before the gym, had an orange and a massive veg salad when I got back, a banana and a grapefruit mid-afternoon, veg salad early evening and tomato "soup" for dinner. Did I need more fruit for calories??? Enjoy New Year's eve Claire Re: Hungry!

Have fruit post workout-- enough to satisfy, if this means 12 banana or 10 oranges, then eat up Or you could make a post workout shake Hemp seed, cacao, banana ..something like that! maybe coconut water too..very good! Re: Hungry!

Date: December 30, 2007 10:15PM Yeah they say when you are craving grains you haven't gotten enough carbs -- which for raw means fruit! When first raw it's easy to not realize just how much fruit you gotta eat to get enough calories.

Date: December 31, 2007 03:11AM Yes. Better to eat 'too much' fresh fruit or vegetables.....during your transition to YOUR goals...rather than not enough. Too much healthy food...and simple eating...will probably go a long way to restore and promote health. Just my experiences.

There is no question if I need to eat more, since I eat every time untill I'm full. (I have "normal" BMI). I wonder how much other males eat (especially the ones which work out on a daily basis)?
