Mushrooms, fungus, no -- causes cancer

Red cabbage, have eaten, tastes milder than green
Green cabbage juice, yes -- excellent for your stomach. Drink 4 oz/ 4 times/day to cure ulcer. Tastes mild and a bit sweet.

Olive oil, okay. Prefer coconut oil.
Salt, sea salt is okay. I use it often. Some prefer Celtic Sea Salt but I find it too gritty. I just use regular organic sea salt.

Coke is very acidic. Avoid it.

Raw foods help alkalize the body. The Coke does the very opposite. Disease cannot live in an alkaline body. Disease thrives in an acidic (mucus-filled) body.

Best wishes,
Therese

mushrooms don't cause cancer. that's just another rumor to freak you out. They are, however, from the nightshade family and shouldn't be eaten in excess.

I'm about to juice some green cabbage myself and I see several article on the internet warning against drinking more than 4 oz at a time. I wonder how much juice is in a regular head of cabbage. I'm about to find out.

Does anyone have any other comments on juicing cabbage? I have heard that it will instantly cure heartburn.

+1 Me too, especially with the red smiling smiley
I prefer raw red in my salads too.
For some reason the raw green never tastes as good as does the raw red to me.

I love red cabbage. I mono eat it sometimes. When mushrooms appeal to me, I eat them. When they don't appeal, I avoid them, as with any other food. If you can learn to listen to your body, you'll always know what to eat and you'll enjoy it too winking smiley

I eat mushrooms (I think that some people who have candida problems may need to avoid mushrooms, or if they seem to bother you) and both red and green cabbage. I also eat Celtic or Himalayan sea salt, but not much. I also eat cold pressed, extra virgin olive oil (all organic).

Red and green cabbage are really hard to digest, unless you marinade them in some kind of acid like vinegar or orange juice, ferment them, or cook them.

mushrooms grow in the dark, but they aren't a nightshade, They are a fungus.

[en.wikipedia.org]

[en.wikipedia.org]

Edible mushrooms such as button mushrooms are excellent. They do contain a substance (hydrazine) that has carcinogen properties. Said substance gets destroyed by cooking. However, even in a raw mushroom it is such a minute amount (in button mushrooms at least, and crimini, adn the like) that eating them raw shouldn't be a problem.

That they should be avoided in a candida diet I do not believe either. I think that idea comes from the fact that candida and mushroom are related biologically. Makes no sense to me.

Thumbs up for mushrooms!
