What about that stuff they use on mung bean sprouts?

Date: January 09, 2008 09:50PM Anyone have an opinion on that stuff that use on mung bean sprouts, supposedly to make them longer? One friend told me it is a biological toxin and that I should avoid commercial mung bean sprouts for that reason. Actually I prefer to sprout my own anyhow so I know what kind of water went in it, but just wanted to hear what anyone has to say about the stuff they put on the mung beans.
