Date: January 12, 2008 10:35PM Yup. They're the best. There's a couple of different varieties. They aint cheap! Costco will usually have a half dozen for about $6.00. $1.00 a piece is not too bad for a treat!

Date: January 12, 2008 11:30PM Hey Dave,
Just FYI, are you aware that commercial, conventional Asian pears are usually treated with fungicide? It says it on the side of the case. I used to peel those ones before eating. Cheers. Re: chinese pear

Date: January 12, 2008 11:38PM Gotta take what I can get man! I wash em first. Isn't just about everything treated with something (even if only marketing hype)? LOL. Sheesh I'm cynical today!

Date: January 14, 2008 01:37AM Thanks all for your replies. I got 3 for a 1.00. at a local produce place. I did wash it well, but maybe I will peel it next to be more careful. They are wrapped in indivdual white soft casings to protect them, I guess.
