most centrifugal juicers do a so so job on the soft fruits

but any centrifugal juicer will do a decent job on the rinds of the fruits because they are more dense and most centrifugal juicers do better with denser material

maybe someone will figure out a way ( perhaps WY?) of creating a citrus press that can also have a slot that you can insert the rinds in and it will juice them up too smiling smiley so u can get all the goodies in the underside of the rind

i peel the citrus and put the whole thing into my juicer, it's one with a screw that squeezes the juice out rather than spinning it. instead of clear-ish the juice comes out cloudy from the pith. it tastes different too, mellow and not so sweet which i like. the pith is supposed to be so good for you, has vit K in it i think? don't quote me on that one.

Thanks Coco...that was a good explanation. I like my
Citrus without the Pith, plus the juice is much easier to
prepare using a Press rather than a Screw-type Juicer.......WY

i find it easier with my juicer actually, i don't have to hold and press the halves on, i just peel the fruit and chuck it in wedges. then again, i have to peel the fruit. guess it depends on which feels more like work to you, peeling or cutting and pressing. hmm. i try to get the peel off in one long strip which is fun and i suppose why i find it less tedious, ha ha!

I dont have a fancy orange juicer yet. I have this plastic thing that I squish the oranges on, Its a bit of work but now painful to do.
I have decided to juice citrus for a while because that is what is in the house. I feel fine and learned a bunch. thanks again for all the support and words of wisdom.

Let us know how it goes. I'd suggest that you
not take in too much Citrus. You might 'cut' it with a little water,
or have a little water in between. Sometimes Orange Juice can
be thick. The Main Thing is to give it a chance to work. I'd say
a minimum of 3 days, to start......WY

I'd like to hear some other ideas on Citrus Fasting.
Perhaps some of you can offer better advice.....WY

Thanks Yogi, I will give it three days. I juiced a lemon in the morning and orange juice and grapefruit juice. I like the grapefruit juice much better its not as sweet. Not sure just what to think of it. I seem to be feeling energetic and everything is flowing fine. I have been real thirsty so I drink water. I like my orange juice lumpey I am not sure if that is proper for fasting. I am craving walnuts and a green salad and some cauliflower. I don't think I am ready for that though. I don't crave the cooked foods so much just a fleeting thought every now and then throughout the day. I think the fast really helped get me back into eating raw foods after the holiday bing. I really don't want to go through that again. I feel positive about water fasting now and am thinking of fasting one day a week I am convinced it is the most healthfull thing for a person.

Congrats PamPam,

I've been following this thread, but I've never done a water fast, so I didn't have anything to offer. It sounds like you really developed a strong communication with your body. What a great experience! Please keep posting your progress as you break the fast. Nice work!

Aloha nui loa, Greg

You have all the info that you need. Sit quietly and ask yourself whatever question you like. If you need the answer, it will be there.

If you do not need the answer, it will not be there.

If you are aligned with nature/Earth/nature/Universe/love....be yourself...

...then,....how could you possibly miss? No?
