Date: February 08, 2008 01:12AM Hi Claire:
I gotta confess - I get accused of being weird and abnormal several times a day: "OMG mom, why can't you keep all our fruit in the fridge like NORMAL people, it looks like a fruit truck exploded in here!" "OMG. mom, none of my NORMAL friends have to help with dishes!!" "OMG, all the NORMAL parents just give their kids their own cellphone." "OMG, you just ate seven bananas - that is so ABNORMAL!!" "OMG, it's totally unfair to impose a curfew on a 16 year old girl, I'm totally mature!" "OMG, how could you go to school and talk to my teacher. Are you trying to RUIN my LIFE?? Just stay home like a NORMAL mom." The list goes on, but I am proud to be weird and abnormal....(and perhaps the first sign of maturity will be starting a sentence without first saying OMG! LOL!!) Date: February 08, 2008 02:37AM Yes, it would be quite normal to buy your children whatever they insist on, let them stay out as late as they like, and to let them eat junk food nonstop instead of stocking up of produce.
Cancer and heart disease and emotional abuse and intolerance are normal too. I pray your children will grow old and wise enough to someday thank you! Re: Am I weird?!

Well, I think any way. Re: Am I weird?!

Date: February 08, 2008 08:13AM From my own weirdo perspective, I like green smoothies, but I'd usually (um, normally?) rather have a salad or a nori roll. Re: Am I weird?!

Anyone who thinks they do not care for raw, unblended kale MUST try this! And, yes, eating it with your hands right out of the bowl that you just massaged it in is definitely a major part of the pleasure... Thank you, maui_butterfly for the awesome idea. Re: Am I weird?!

Date: February 09, 2008 04:49AM I have to say I'm not crazy about green smoothies, either. Sweet fruit and greens together just doesn't taste right to me.
But I love green soups! Celery cilantro red pepper olive oil salt lemon is the one I just had for dinner. With dulse pieces in it. very good. I just like to eat my fruit alone. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
