oat groats

I haven't found much about these here(oat groats). I soaked mine for 1 day and blended them with an apple cinnamon and 3 dates. are they raw. am I gonna get bad gas later today? they are very tasty. what do you guys think? what are some other recipes?

I've used soaked Oats (2 Tbsp) in my Green Smoothies of the Past. They were Good.....WY

Hi Alice,

Unfortunately, most of the oats out there aren't truly raw as they have either been steamed or toasted to extend their shelf life or remove the tough hulls. You can find raw oats though! I order mine from this site.

I like to blend in berries, figs etc and I alternate using allspice, cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom etc.

If they sprout into a little plant....like wheat berries do....after three days....then they retain their vital potential. If not, then look for another source. Just my experience.
