Acidity questions

Firstly:

HOW in the HECK are BLUEBERRIES acidic?!?! I thought they were supposed to be one of the better berries for you, very antioxidizing, etc.?

How?! Why?! Do the benefits outweigh the acidity?

Mmm... and the chart also says sprouts are alkalizing, but lentils are acidic. So, what about sprouted lentils? O.o

It was very nice to see a chart like this, anyway.

Edit: tahini was also acidic, wonder if raw is the same?

Your body is going to guide you. It really isn't possible to get too much of your calories from berries. If you tried, they would start tasting horrible and give your stomach an upset. It's easier to get more of your calories from something more neutral like banana and many raw foodists do exactly that.

Opinion: I wouldn't worry. If blueberries are the most 'acidic' thing on your menu...you are in great shape. As to processed items...or nuts? You may want to cut down if you are experiencing problems.
