Hey guys,

I wanted to know what books and cookbooks everyone has enjoyed and been inspired by. Everyone list your favorites with a brief summary of what the book is about. I just love reading and collecting great books and passing them on to those who need them!

I’ve only been raw for a month but these books have really kept me on track:

Living Foods Lifestyle by Brenda Cobb
Mostly about a women who was diagnosed with cancer and beat it using the raw food diet. Also includes recipes.

The Raw Food Detox Diet by Natalia Rose
Awesome read! Goes into why we need colonics and enemas. Explains food combining. Good for raw beginners. Really yummy recipes

Living Cuisine The Art and Spirit of Raw Foods by Renee Loux Underkoffler
More science based explanations of raw. Good recipes.

The UNcook Book by Juliano
This book is pretty and inspiring. Some of the recipes are complicated.

Survival into the 21rst Century by Uiktoras Kulvinskas, M.S.
I just started reading this one. It's already blown open my mind.

The most recent update of The Sunfood Diet Success System by David Wolfe (April 2006 -- first rewrite in 4 years and much improved from previous editions!!).

Invaluable....

I definitely want to get Victoria Boutenko's new book too. What is it called? Green for Life?

Basia,

The guy interviewed is Guy-Claude Burger - a genius in my opinion. It seems he is in prison right now, accused of pedophilism (after unsuccesful atempts to accuse him of unauthorized practice of medicine). I didn't manage to get to the bottom of the story, but I have a strong suspicion it is all a big lie. Anyway, his thinking in the field of nutrition is invaluable, an eye-opener.
