Date: June 02, 2006 06:03PM Leverett, Greenfield has a weird mix (old hippies), New Salem, Shutesbury. The last 2 are very small, and hardly even towns - but they are very very 'hippie'
If you are in western Mass, you might travel up to Brattleboro Vermont - that is quite nice, and it would qualify as a 'hippie town' There is a raw restaurant in Beverly -- but that is on this side of the state (East) - and it is not at all a hippie town. I am actually from Amherst/Greenfield. Now I live in Central Sq, Cambridge -- and it feels a lot like home (only less gentrified). There are old hippies and artsy types, but also regular people. There weren't so many regular people back in Northamton or Amherst. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 06/02/2006 06:11PM by EmilyS. Re: Anyone from Massachusetts?
