Hi,

Just wanted to know, when eating celery sticks, is the fibrous part still in the mouth after chewing it all is worth eating? Or is it just more work for the body to digest and not more nutriments.

Thanks

Bryan you must admit, though, that 100 calories of celery is alot. Its probably like 20+ stalks! I think he meant is it worthwile swallowing the fibre after you chew the hell out of it. I always juice my celery.

Its probably an entire celery plant (or a 1.5 pounds). I used to eat that much celery at a single meal when I was eating high greens. And occasionally nowadays I will eat an entire plant. By the way, the entire plant is called a stalk of celery. A single stem of celery is called a rib of celery.

I'm a big Fan of Celery. I juice the outer Ribs and usually eat the soft inner Ribs, but not always.
Thanks for the nutrition info Bryan. I read somewhere that the Sodium content equals the content of our Bones. It's a good way to get Sodium without having to eat Sea Vegetables, which are too 'Salty'.....IMHO.
My Mother tells me she doesn't eat Celery because there's nothing in it. Now I have some 'ammo' for her......WY

Thanks Bryan for the celery nutritional value info. I've been juicing two stalks daily and feel great. Now I know why.
