Store bought almond milk ok?

It is so expensive where I live to buy enough almonds to make almond milk at home, but when I found some at a health food store, it was only 2 bucks for about a quart. Is store-bought almond milk ok?

Anything like that in a packet will be pasteurised.

Oh, awful, awful. I bought some once and it was barf. I couldn't finish the quart. If you are going to do cooked "milks", soymilk tastes so much better, followed by rice milk.

Nadiarafi, where in Jaskson Heights can I find that deal? And are they unpasteurised (more important question!)?

yup they're raw...but not organic...which i am ok with since i am a public school teacher and will never pass up on said deal smiling smiley

if you get to the general area, ask anyone for a store called subzi mandi...there is another grocery store next to it as well that is equally inexpensive. both stores have a good dried fruit nut selection and very reasonably priced produce.
