Splendid salad idea!

So, tonight, I was making one of my usual salads: romaine, tomatoes, cucumber, carrots, sprouts, zucchini, blah blah blah blah blah.

No dressing, of course... Then a bolt of inspiration STRUCK me!

I climbed on my counter to reach for one of the bags on the very top shelf of my cupboard to retrieve... a handful of cumin seeds!

YUM. What a subtle but succulent new dimension for salad! It keeps the dressinglessness texture that I have come to prefer, but added just a proper pinch of new flavor, so much that I had four bowls. angry smiley And felt great! >8)

Cumin is also supposed to be good for digestion, I read. Does anyone know why?

Research has shown that cumin may stimulate the secretion of pancreatic enzymes, compounds necessary for proper digestion and nutrient assimilation.

It was the first time I ever got a salad high, something I usually only get from durians, longans, and seasonal fruits. I might make another one today. >8)
