wheatgrass tablets

hi everyone,
was wondering whether you could help.

i bought some wheatgrass tablets today as a stand-in until i can afford to buy my own fresh grass and and juice extractor. i'm hoping they can help me get some nutrience (which i am severely lacking)and that they'll be a supplement to the raw veggies i'll be eating (i've been off raw for 2 years now and am getting back on tomorrow).

the label says to take 7 tablets for every portion of vegetable. therefore, since it it recommended to eat a minimum of 3 portions of veggies at day, one should consume a minimum of 21 tablets a day.

When am i meant to take all these tablets? do i take 7 at a time,3 times a day?
i don't know but it just seems excessive.

what is your opinion on proper use of these tablets?

thanks in advance
minette

If it were me, I'd take 2-3 with each meal. But, I eat 7 tiny meals every day. I try to eat something every 2 hours so my metabolism stays fairly stable. 7 pills at a time would gag me. Yikes!

hey minette,

I take wheatgrass tablets all the time.

Only the ones I have (sunny green) say to take 1 tablet up to 7 times a day.

They are 520 mg of wheatgrass powder, how strong are yours?

Wheatgrass, it does a body good!!!

Try Sonne's Greenlife on Hardbody Nutrition:

[search.cartserver.com]

All dried grass products are extremely expensive. This is the best deal I could find. Only buy the dried grass juice product. The one's that don't say juice, dry the whole plant and are a real rip off.

Greenlife comes to $95/pound. The price of wheat on the Chicago Board of Trade is 6.4 cents a pound.

Ahh, no tabs for me. Just great, powdered wheatgrass that's dried at low temps and is still considered raw. The brand I use is Pines Wheatgrass and that's exactly what it is, except they let it grow for a longer period so that the grass can reach it's peak nutritional value.

Peace,

What fillers are used in making the wheatgrass tablets?

Not sure, you'd have to ask the manufacturer of the product.
