Ever forget to hook up the thing that catches the pulp from your juicer?

I wouldn't advise it.

That is all.

You must have been in a hurry. I've made messes too. One time
I didn't put the top on my Blender because I thought I wouldn't
need it.....Big Mistake.....WY

Yeah, I did that before too. Luckily it was nearby and I only lost a little bit of juice. Not quite as messy as the pulp. I think i'll be cleaning little bits of orange pulp outta stuff for weeks!

Hmm... I've only used a couple of manual juicers, but it sounds like some of the electric models eject the pulp with significant force!

You're using a slow, single-auger manual. The
models we're referring to have a high-speed spinning basket.
You'd have to be a real Idiot to forget the pulp catcher for
a slow manual.......WY
P.S. I hope no one here has done that.

Ha! I saw this thread and had to post. A while back I turned on my VP3 blender without realizing the "HIGH" switch was still engaged. The container was almost half full of green smoothie and had no lid. A second later the container was nearly empty and I had green smoothie all over myself and the kitchen. I spent more than an hour cleaning and I still find dried green juice around the kitchen at times.

That is so Funny. The time I messed up, my
High Switch wasn't up, but the variable Dial was on 5.
Thank goodness we learn our lesson......WY

Well, I have to post too, my blender blunder -
Turned it on when I first got it (manual still in box), got so frustrated that it wasn't blending, shoved the tamper down in without the cover on and obviously ruined the tamper. WY sent me a new one (forever grateful) and then I had another mishap. I plugged the blender in with the clear platic piece down in the container, along with the tamper, without realizing that it was in the "on" position. The blade started up and I lunged for the chord. I unplugged it with little to no damage done. Thank goodness. I would have been calling you up again WY!!! winking smiley

I have also thought "I don't need the cover on to just blend this up" and sure enough...total mess.

Great way of putting it LaV, as always, about reflecting life's mess. smiling smiley

What were you doing with 'stuff' in your Blender? I don't see how something
wasn't damaged.....WY

My husband would clean it and just put it on the base like that - instead of just putting it back together. Weird, I hadn't even thought of it. Anyway, the plastic piece for the cover just had a fairly deep scratch in it but not all the way through it. (eyes rolling) I now make sure that before I plug it in, there is nothing in the container AND that it is off!!!
