Date: August 10, 2008 04:07AM I'm thinking about buying a new juicer so I can store juice throughout the day. My Breville Compact juicer works well but it tastes awful after about an hour. I would like to juice in the morning and have a juice while I'm at work in the afternoon and the Green Star 2000 looks like it will do this. Does anyone know if I can juice apples with this juicer? Some websites say I need to buy a separate fruit attachment, while others say I can juice fruit in the machine as is. Do I have to stop juicing my greens and add some attachment to make my juice? Thanks in advnace. Re: Does the Green Star 2000 juice apples?

No juicer will do Apples very well. You're better off to eat Apples because they have a good type of fiber. Buy Organic, or peel them.......WY Re: Does the Green Star 2000 juice apples?

Date: August 16, 2008 11:48PM as long as you use crisp juicy apples it does fine ...but dont overload by trying to go too fast take your time by putting approx. 1/4 of the apple(sliced) in at a time.
i would say that its pretty much an arbritrary thing regarding how it tastes to you. perhaps you could avoid the oxidation by juicing fresh and drinking. juicin' john Re: Does the Green Star 2000 juice apples?

Date: August 20, 2008 06:18PM I juice apples with my green star every day. I only use the cripest types and I keep them in the fridge until I am ready to use them. It is important to take out the seeds as they have a toxic property to my knowledge

Date: August 22, 2008 04:25AM Thanks for the replies everybody! You're all awesome. I e-mailed TriBest this question and they didn't reply. I'll probably still buy the juicer because I like the idea of being able to take a juice with me for later in the day. Thanks again. Re: Does the Green Star 2000 juice apples?

Date: August 28, 2008 06:38AM the answer is yes
but not too many cuz they get mushy then just end up on the top just a few pieces then i use celery and greens works but like the others have said the crispy ones work best green star loves soft greens and it has a penchant for hard fruits don't ask me why its just the way the gears roll Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
