Date: September 16, 2008 01:03AM I'm sorry to have to report that my Mother is
giving up her Blender. She has a bad shoulder with no Cartilage and it is painful for her to lift the Glass Carafe. This is indeed a sad day for me, since I believe in Blending so much......WY Re: My Mother quit Blending

Date: September 16, 2008 06:21AM I'm offering my mother's Blender to anyone here who
is in need. Just email me your mailing address, and I'll send it to you. It's an Oster (Red) Beehive that I bought at Wal-Mart for around $60 (if I remember correctly).....WY [i.walmartimages.com] Re: My Mother quit Blending

I thought of that, but a plastic carafe, filled with ingredients, would still be too much for her shoulder. I couldn't live without my Blender, and don't understand how others can.....WY Re: My Mother quit Blending

Have you tried returning it to Walmart to get a refund for your mother..? They are so nice and have a liberal return policy that it's possible you could return it once you explain the situation ( even if it's used, they are ok about that) and get her a blender with a plastic container. Kitchen-Aid is currently making a higher power home use blender with a plastic container that has been getting good reviews. My mom has arthritis too, so I completly understand. Date: September 17, 2008 03:26AM ...Bed Bath and Beyond is another great resource for blenders. I just remembered that they carry a cool smoothie machine that has a spigot like you would have on a water cooler, so all you would need to do is bend the little black tab back to extrude the smoothie concoction. Completely by-passing the need to lift the carafe like you would with a standard blender. It's really adorable from what I can recall, and possibly even available online.
Hope this helps. PEACE Choco Re: My Mother quit Blending

I haven't spoken to my Mother about this, but I'm sure she'll approve of VeggieFreak giving it to her friend.....WY Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
