Interchangable parts

Date: October 05, 2008 06:58PM I've got a waring extreme blender with the stainless jar, but I'd like to get a second jar. Can anyone tell me which other brands are compatible with the waring extreme base? I've heard vitamix, with the tamper, but haven't found any other info.

You'll certainly want to 'see' the contents as it's being blended. Vita-Mix used to make a stainless steel container years ago, but discontinued production. The Vita-Mix blades are superior to the Warings, so the Waring base with a Vita-Mix carafe would be the best combo, as no other container will fit the Waring.
