I made Apple Sauce this morning.

The only problem is I was trying to make Apple Juice.
I don't think any juicer, with the exception of a Juice Press, will
juice Apples efficiently. Anyone??....WY

I gingerly mention that my Champion juicer with the sieve plate on makes great apple juice.

You don't have to be gingerly about it. Are you
sure? Did you juice the apples with something else, or by
themselves?
I'd hate to buy a used Champion on eBay, only to find out that
it didn't work for Apples....WY

JJ....Would you do an experiment for me? I'd
like for you to juice 1 1/2 pounds of Apples with your
GreenStar, and report back. I'll pay for the Apples, and
your Time, if you give me a mailing address....WY
P.S. I liked your quote about Centrifuge Juicers. Give me
more information if you can.

I use the Jack Lalanne and you get a thin layer of foam which I can easily scrape off with a spoon.

I also always pour an oz of water into the chute right before I turn it off to give it a quick rinse. And, when I scrap the foam off, I'll scrape the water along with the foam and not waste any juice.

Pam....Since you and Tamukha both recommend the
Champion Juicer, I'm thinking about buying one.
It could be the Apple too, like JJ said. The Granny Smith
is a harder apple, isn't it?....WY

WY,

Please don't buy a Champion just because Pam and I get apple juice from ours! I honestly don't understand how you couldn't get apple juice, or at least apple "nectar" with a typical juicer, regardless of the apple. Or the juicer. I've juiced all manner of apples--soft ones, crisp just-off-the-tree ones, and never had a problem. Am I supposed to have a problem juicing apples? Isn't this, along with citrus and carrots, one of the top three things people commonly juice, even in cheap small-box store juicers? Oh, I am so confused . . . I think, Wheatgrass Yogi, you want to limit your appliances, don't you? So you should be able to juice apples on whatever you juice carrots and celery and whatever else on. I do hope you succeed in getting good apple juice soon : )

Thanks, but I've decided Pineapple and Apple juices are
not going to be part of my diet. I'm going with Carrot, Celery, and
Greens....and (for me) they don't blend well with sweet fruit....WY
