Wheatgrass juicers

I'm thinking of purchasing a vita-mix soon, but i'm also interested in growing my own wheatgrass as well. I know some of you, especially wheatgrass yogi have recommended single-auger juicers, but what exactly are single augers? Is there a brand or model that people are particular leaning towards? And why are they better than the old fashioned manual stainless steel ones? or other types of juicers? The single-augers are in the 200-250 range i think, but how about these cheaper ones? especially those cheap stainless steel wheatgrass juicers? Date: June 02, 2009 12:27PM I did a fairly extensive write-up of another manual stainless steel model when I first got it. The short version is that I love the steel, but it's a lot more labor intensive than an automatic model, which discouraged me from using it as often, especially on weekday mornings.

hey wheatgrass yogi, i remember you said you like the single-auger juicers. why are they better? these stainless steel oens are not single-auger are they? Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
