Super Angel and nut butters

Date: September 03, 2009 11:01PM I have been using my Super Angel juicer for a year now and have not yet attempted to make nut butters. Other juicers talk about using a "homogenizing" plate to make nut butters. The super angel does not have one. It is an excellent twin gear juicer but has anyone tried making nut butters with it? Is it worth making them? Re: Super Angel and nut butters

Date: September 04, 2009 08:35PM I don't know how the Super Angel makes nut butters, as I don't own one. According to their website, this juicer is able to do that. can't find a "what's included" list, so I am not sure if the black comes with the juicer, but I would guess that it should, as all other juicers that I have seen that do nut butters do include the homogenizing blank.
I make nut butters with my Norwalk & Samson. I feel it is worth making them. By doing it yourself, you are certain that there are no preservatives, etc. being added to the foods. Other than it not being a completely "raw" food, since they pasteurize everything (all nuts) these days before you purchase them. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
