The Hurom and Juice Feasting
Posted by: RaeVynn ()

Hey all.

I recently got a Hurom juicer, and am embarked on a Juice Feast...

A couple of observations. The Omega Vert looks like a twin of my juicer. Did they just rebrand the Hurom?

Juicing greens. It's supposed to work really well. It generally does. However, I get cloggage of the juicer. Is there some sort of secret technique that isn't covered in the (extremely unhelpful) owner's manual?

Juicing blueberries: doesn't work when they are frozen. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

hi raevynn

a centrifugal is a centrifugal no matter how you cut it
so probably a lot of them look like twins cuz they operate on the same principle of spinning

and u can either have plastic or metal cover

so.... there u go

also...with centrifugals... if u have something with high water content like carrots

you can juice quite a lot of those in there but sooner or later , it will clog up the basket simply due to sheer mass

and so turn on some REALLY good music while you juice
cuz its gonna take some time and effort

i'm sure its hard to juice anything frozen in a juice machine
its not meant to do that

its meant to extract JUICE
and frozen blueberries

will extract not muchjuice
cuz its frozen

those are best for blenders

Rae Vynn,

Yes, the Omega VERT and the Hurom are basically the same machine, with few minor differences. And congrats! I've got a VERT and use it daily! winking smiley

Paul

p.s. La Veronique, both are single augers rather than centrifugals. winking smiley fyi.

I was wondering if anyone would catch that, and
comment about it.
