Date: June 27, 2007 11:43PM I sprouted some wheat berries for about 2 days, blended them with water and then pressed them in my juice press. I was going to add sweetener. Good thing I didn't. It was allmost too sweet to drink and similar to coconut milk. Wow,amazing!

Date: June 28, 2007 12:17AM I know when I've munched on them, they taste incredible and I wonder why the human race ever deviated from raw vegan.
But I've never juiced them - pretty intense for the body, I would think! Re: wheatberry drink - so sweeeet

Date: June 28, 2007 12:21AM Thanks El for the idea. I have some wheat berries that don't grow the kind of wheatgrass I like. I'll try sprouting them and then juicing them along with celery. I bet it will make a nice combo......WY Re: wheatberry drink - so sweeeet

Date: June 29, 2007 06:32PM I've given up on sprouting wheat berries. I use the 'jar method' and it's too much trouble to rinse the sprouts every 2 hours. I'll just enjoy my Celery Juice without the sprouts.....WY Re: wheatberry drink - so sweeeet

Date: June 29, 2007 10:04PM You don't have to rinse that often: I only rinse 2-3 times every 24 hours. Re: wheatberry drink - so sweeeet

Date: June 30, 2007 02:55AM El....And just how much will that set me back? Seriously, there are several on the Market now. How is your's better?
Aqua....My wheat sprouts get rather 'slimy' without frequent rinsings. I'll try it though. I used to sprout my wheat berries before planting them, but now just soak and plant. It's much easier......WY Re: wheatberry drink - so sweeeet

I use a hand pumped presurised garden sprayer to mist the sprouts. el Re: wheatberry drink - so sweeeet

Date: July 01, 2007 03:27PM I tried juicing the Wheat Sprouts in my evening juice last night. It was a little too 'heavy' for me. I still think it's best to go 'Mono', whether it's with food or juice. I had 6 1/2 ounces of Wheatgrass Juice early this morning, followed an hour later with 24 ounces of Celery Juice. It's sitting pretty well......WY Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
