How long after juice consumption before eating?

Date: November 19, 2007 12:34AM Hi All, Second question in a row. Is there a preffered time to wait after comsuming a fresh juice and eating? I have my juices in the morning, then wait as long as I can (time permitting, about 15 minutes max) before eating a bowl of museli (home made, no wheat, and warm water instead of milk.)
I'm wondering is there an ideal length of time, to let the juice be digested/assimilated on it's own before mixing it with food, or is there no difference? Thanks in advance. Re: How long after juice consumption before eating?

Date: November 19, 2007 12:49AM It depends on the specific components, they oxidize at different rates.
If you poured it on a flat plate and left it at room temperature for 8 hours, there would be very little vitamin C left. I usually drink mine within 15 minutes. If you seal yours in a tall narrow container after juicing you might be able to get away with 4 hours in the fridge or longer. But it's really best right away. Date: November 19, 2007 12:55AM Thanks for the reply, but I think you misread the question, or perhaps I wasn't clear. I juice and drink immediatly. I'm asking how long should I wait before eating anything else, or does it not make any difference? Thanks. Re: How long after juice consumption before eating?

I am sorry but I don't feel qualified to answer your original question. I think the food combiners who are more careful about what they eat and when will have better input (I don't food combine). Maybe you'll get a better response on the main board. Re: How long after juice consumption before eating?
