Newbie with Wheatgrass questions.

Hello. I'm a new juicer and have been at it for about 2 1/2 weeks. Already I've dropped 11 pounds. I love juicing and find that it's fun to create new recipes. Plus getting healthy is making me feel fabulous all over! smiling smiley

I just tried my first wheatgrass shot yesterday at Jamba Juice. I started researching it on-line to find out the benefits.

I'm wondering if wheatgrass is as beneficial if you buy it in dry form. Where to buy it?? And how often one usually consumes it??

I read in another post it can be used topically for skin improvement. How is this done?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

I take wheatgrass orally five times a week (some folks use it as an enema or rectal insert). I personally wouldn't bother taking it dried or frozen, unless I were somewhere completely out-of-the-way (like Antarctica or something) where it was impossible to get fresh. The reason is that I think there's such a dropoff in nutrients etc, that a green smoothie or similar taken straight away would be as beneficial as frozen or dried wheatgrass.

You really should research the difference online between fresh and powder form. Especially since fresh isn't always best considering where you buy it. That said, I would not go a day without my wheatgrass : )
