Green 'chips'

Date: June 07, 2008 03:11AM When I really want something that tastes like a potato chip I take some collards or kale, cut into pieces about the size of the palm of my hand (cut out the stems, obviously), soak in a marinade of whatever good stuff I have on hand (vinegar + curry, lemon + chili powder, etc.) and dehydratee a 3-4 trays of it till dry and very crisp-- it happens pretty quickly. They're sensational and even better than chips or crackers---- and they're good for you.

Date: June 07, 2008 03:19AM That sounds delicious, Kwan. If I ever buy a dehydrator I'll have to make some.
And wow, you look super young and beautiful in your new pic! Re: Green 'chips'

Date: June 25, 2008 03:19PM Wow, what an awesome idea, I wonder if my kids would take to it? I'll have to give it a try.
They like mustard so, I'll try that for flavor, with lemon juice. Re: Green 'chips'

Date: June 25, 2008 10:17PM I bought some kale because it was so pretty in the store and was calling me. I hardly buy it because we haven't liked it raw yet but thought I would cook it a little. I thought I would come here and just by chance I would be inspired and lo and behold here is your post.
Cool! Now I have to try it. Thanks! I actually had read that recipe somewhere and it had occurred to me to seek it out. My kids are crazy about mustard. They put it on raisins. LOL!! Re: Green 'chips'
