Date: February 16, 2009 04:39AM Aloha,
I will be soon be having company and one member of the party is a Raw Vegan. Could someone suggest some impressive recipes that our friend, as well as the other people in the party who are not Raw Vegan's, would enjoy? I don't want to single her out, but I want her to know that we do have something she will enjoy. I'm looking for 1-2 impressive recipes and know little about Raw living and I'm rather intimidated about having company that requires a special diet. I'm learning from your website, but would like to know if anyone has any favorites they would like to share. While I do know how to cook, I can see that a lot of the items used in the recipes noted include things I simply do not carry in my cupboard. I found a beet soup recipe I would love to try, but would that be part of the diet? Is it cold and warm/hot foods? I'm sorry, but I'm new and I understand I need to be educated, which is whey I'm here. Anything you could share would be greatly appreciated. I can be reached at hawaiimermaid@hawaii.com. Thank you for any recipes you can suggest. Aloha! Re: Looking for impressive Raw recipes for a visiting guest

I currently live on Maui and we are truely blessed with the abundance of wonderful fruits here on the islands.. For your guests... Get some fresh pineapple, apple bananas, vanilla banannas, papaya, lychee, mango, Kula Strawberries... They will be totally pleased with the fruit salad! Date: April 22, 2009 05:02PM hiya! i like to make rawcos (raw tacos) for my non rawvegan friends/family. they are a wonderful transition food and my peeps approve!
sprouted walnuts (or non sprouted..i think sprouted taste sweeter and better) nama shoyu garlic cloves cumin sprouts mix all up in food processor til finely blended and meaty lookin. put filling in a romaine leaf (i like romanine but you could use any leaf of course!) i also add avacodo and salsa. you can go nuts (heh heh) and add anything! you can make some cream cheeze and even some sunflower refried beans. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
