Raw vegetable that soaks up flavor

Hi everyone! I have a serious craving for fish tacos. Does anyone know of a subsitution other than seeds, nuts, or eggplant that would soak up flavor?
I figure maybe mushrooms or avocados might work, but i'm kinda of tired of using them in all my recipes. Also, I'm hoping to find something that I don't have to stick in a dehydrator for a couple hours. Thanks guys!

ive actually never tried it, but i just thought that since its tastes so much like water with a really good crisp. when i make raw tacos i use soy sauce even tho it isnt raw, but it really asorbs the flavor after just sprinkling some on when im ready to eat them. they take on the flavor that fast, they must do good in marination.

we should try it together and report back winking smiley
good luck. hope it works

Hey Volcolmchik. I tried it and it worked like a charm. I used jicama marinated in a little olive oil, sea salt, and white pepper. Then I shredded cabbage and made a cilantro guacamole. Since I didn't use a wrap, it was really more like a fish taco salad. But it was really yummy. Thanks!
