Dehydrated burger storage question
Posted by: Zenstorm ()

My sunflower/millet/veggie patties are almost done dehydrating & I am not sure how to store them. This is my first time making burgers. Can someone give me some info? Thanks!

I would refrigerate them, and try not to let them sit around many days. Completely dry crackers will last a long time without refrigeration, but I imagine that your patties are still a little juicy. It's hard to say how long they should last. Oil, sugar and salt are all preservatives, so fatty or salty burgers might last longer. It sounds like your burgers aren't as fatty as they could be (that's really just a guess from your "sunflower/millet/veggie" description).

If this turns out to be a recipe that you make regularly, you may learn through experience how long they stay good.
