New to raw diet seeking simplest possible meal ideas

Date: January 19, 2007 06:20AM Hi. I'm a vegan trying to increase the percentage of raw foods in my diet, both for health reasons and to save time. I've been reading lots of raw food recipes on the web, & many seem to be designed to be as pleasurable as possible, which tends to complicate them. What I'm looking for is the barest essentials: no dressings, flavours, etc unnecessary for nutrition - just the simplest possible meals for a balanced diet, with a minimum of preparation time.
Thanks in advance for any help! Re: New to raw diet seeking simplest possible meal ideas

Date: January 19, 2007 12:50PM dear shiyin-tonite i am making raw zucchini into strips like skinny noodles and putting a raw tomato sauce over them.i am using sundried maters but u could chop up tomatoes, and onions and celery and muchrooms to put over then zucchini.one recipe i saw was pizza-use the eggplant slices for the crust and put raw tomato sauce on top-put in food dryer for a couple of hours-i guess to warm it and for the topping-grated carrot, sliced avacado, grated yellow squash, and 4 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley.i guess u have to play with it and i guess alot of people don't get into all the food prep.this is what i hear.i am new to this myself-so i don't know if i am qualified to answer any questions but giving it a shot.i went out and bought a bunch of "UN-COOKBOOKS".SO I HAVE BEEN READING AND STUDYING AND POURING OVER THESE TO FIGURE OUT WHAT TO DO.i would just do smoothies or just eat out of hand...if i wanted to do more simple.i hear people do this. i wanted to prepare foods to substitue for thing s i may miss...like the eggplant 'PIZZA".AND I THOUGHT MAYBE I WOULD GET MORE NUTRITION,IF I WOULD SORT OF COMPILE FOODS IN SMALL AMOUNTS LIKE THIS PIZZA RECIPE...TO GET A VARY OF VITAMINS.i don't know if this helps any.right now i am mostly eating raw fruit and smoothies and simple raw veggies and carrot juice-soon-i will be doing more RECIPES.taylor Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
