In many books the authors do not advocate soaking pinenuts. Why do all the other nuts need to be soaked to neutralize enzyme inhibitors, but pinenuts do not? thank you. Re: pines and brazils

Date: August 05, 2007 08:31AM Pine nuts are too soft to soak. They get too soggy. Pine nuts are generally raw that I know of. To me they taste the same as when I pulled them out of a pine cone. Brazil nuts generally have to be dried and may not be completely raw depending on drying temp. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
