Is lightly steaming some vegetables OK? I am finding some of the greens like kale and chard a litle coarse (I guess I just get used to that?)

I freeze my kale and put it into smoothies (the only way I can tolerate it). Doesn't alter the taste any and I still get my greens.

Marinating kale, collards, and chard in olive oil, apple cider vinegar/fresh lemon juice, and herbss is also helpful in softening them up.

Like islandgirl, mine go into green smoothies.

Hi Island girl! Why do you freeze the kale? I just put mine in the smoothie straight from the fridge. (However, more to the original poster, I love those greens raw, too.... you'll develop a taste for them, I'm sure!)

Just use less kale at first.
