FAST raw food recipes for busy people and kids

Date: October 28, 2007 02:29PM Raw gets FAST and EASY when you lose the cooked mindset that you need to "prepare" and "eat" "meals". That's the one thing that turned me off about raw in the beginning, I never "cooked", I didn't want to spend time "un-cooking" and following "recipes".
Grab some fruit and eat it - Fast Throw some fruit and/or veggies in the blender and make smoothies and drink - Fast Don't think of nuts or seeds as "snacks" like a bag of chips. Do a trail mix and they can grab and go and eat int he car if you're that crushed for time. Grab and Go type stuff. Keep some almond milk stocked in the fridge.. that should be filling for a kid and easy to get their calories up. If they don't already, get the kids eating salads. Keep expermenting and find a way to make it that they'll like it. Put olives in it and find the most natural dressing you can if you have to. Make a huge bowl of it and give everyone a dish. etc. Re: FAST raw food recipes for busy people and kids

Date: October 30, 2007 01:22AM I love to feed my kids, who are competitive athletes, sprouted-wheat tortillas spread with almond butter. Although the tortillas aren't raw, the wheat is sprouted and therefore phytate free. High calorie, low sugar, good plant protein. I make the almond butter with raw almonds in my Champion juicer with the blank plate on.
