Is there an alternative to shoyu?

Date: December 18, 2007 04:48AM I am allergic to soy so I can't use shoyu in recipes. I have just purchased a few Raw cookbooks and most recipes call for Namba Shoyu. Can anyone suggest a good substitute? Thanks. Re: Is there an alternative to shoyu?

Or of course you can just leave it out, adding a bit of water if necessary to get the consistency you want and salt if you desire. Rob -- Rob Hull - Funky Raw My blog: [www.rawrob.com] Re: Is there an alternative to shoyu?

Our bodies require a surprisingly small amount of sodium to function properly, even very active people. Celery is a good natural source of sodium. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
