Date: June 03, 2006 12:58AM Yum, Yum, Yum....great summer taste!
4 ears fresh corn 2 cups thick almond milk 1 clove garlic, minced 2 green onions, chopped to the top 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin pinch of sea salt. Saw fresh corn kernels from the cobs. Blend all ingrediants in a blender until mixed, but not smooth. Warm gently over low heat. (I did it just enough to take the chill off...enjoy!) Date: June 13, 2006 03:28AM Just make sure that corn is organic! All the non-organic corn is contaminated with GE corn nowadays.
Not pretty. ;( Re: Warm Corn Chowder

Date: June 19, 2006 04:55PM I second the "make sure you use organic corn" suggestion. I've tried eating raw conventional corn several times and have gotten "food poisoning" twice from it. I can't afford to buy everything organic, but carrots and corn are two of the items I make sure I buy organic. Re: Warm Corn Chowder

Date: June 20, 2006 12:56AM I buy everything Organic or I don't buy it....not worth the risk. Although my food bill has doubled since commiting to do this, I think it's worth it. Jen Rose "You must first unlearn the lies, and then you will have room for the truth" Re: Warm Corn Chowder

Date: June 21, 2006 12:11AM Thanks Jen Rose! I needed to hear someone say: "it's worth it". My husband loves a bargain and it's an ongoing "lively discussion" around here concerning the organic issue. So, anyway: Thanks - I needed that!!!!
