Date: March 20, 2007 01:18PM i will be in portland, oregon in early may. looking for
raw food restaurants, farmer's markets, etc to enjoy while there. where's the best place to find organic produce? any tips on where to stay, things to do, what to see- would be great! i'm interested in checking out the japanese garden and neighborhoods and some hiking- the visit may possibly turn into a relocation. cheers- ella photos Re: destination: portland, oregon

Date: March 22, 2007 04:52PM Are you planning to drive up the Columbia River Gorge and hike around the falls there? It's spectacular! Also, spend a Saturday or Sunday morning at Saturday Market under the Burnside Bridge. Not sure about where to find the best organic produce, but I believe Saturday Market might have some... in addition to some wonderful local crafts (some junk, too, but there are great finds and the market is very colorful).

Don't know if you are still in Portland. If so, Welcome! A great place to eat is Blossoming Lotus. It is down town on NW 10th & Davis. And of course it is Farmers Market season as well. Every Saturday in the PSU park blocks is cool. Enjoy your stay. Ava Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
