Date: December 17, 2008 03:24PM My understanding/research is that the body can replace the fluid volume of about 1 pint of blood withing 24 hours...sometimes less.....when healthy. This figure would be modified by age, weight, etc. It takes longer for the body to fully replace the lost red blood cells....usually 4-6 weeks.
