These links will explain what I am asking about. There seem to be activities behind the scenes to take away our rights to clean fresh organic foods. This is important info. and there are other links to take action. Scary stuff. But important we all know and do something. This one concerns the US [www.naturalnews.com] This one concerns everyone worldwide. [www.livefoodfactor.com] Re: Food Politics

Date: March 16, 2009 06:53PM Yes, I've been hearing/reading a lot on this. It makes me sick. It's time for us to take control of our food. Starting by growing it ourselves. These corporations are determined to rule EVERYTHING. Re: Food Politics

Date: March 16, 2009 10:22PM H.R. 875 and also S. 425 are both full of things that are potentially extremely threatening to the future of independent farming, organics, seed banking, and possibly even home gardening. One of them was written by the wife of a Monsanto employee.
Call your House reps as well as your Senators now and tell them to please read and urge rewriting of these bills so that they are not geared toward helping big agri-business and the phasing out small farms. We also called the White House at 202-456-1111. Sharrhan: [www.facebook.com] Re: Food Politics

Don't wish to incite the, um, wrath, of a moderator . . . Re: Food Politics

Date: March 16, 2009 11:19PM Hi Tamukha,
I guess maybe we'll find out. Several people recently asked the moderator if we could discuss food politics on the forum. Here's an ACTION ALERT from Organic Consumers Association regarding HR 875: [capwiz.com] Re: Food Politics

Awesome! Did the president answer? < LOL Yes... well, actually, when I called he was in the middle of a therapy session with Oprah, Wayne Dyer and Dr. Phil about how to project confidence, hope and optimism to the American people about the economic situation, but he returned my call a short while later. I was so shocked to hear from him that I got a little rattled and completely forgot to talk to him about the food politics issues. Instead we talked about how he can completely relax, tune in, develop his intuition and go with the flow of his inner guidance rather than listening to pop culture experts, cabinet advisors, and corporate lobbyists. ;-) Re: Food Politics
