mrdc,

Yep. haven't tried it, but I think it probably works primarily to refresh your saliva more often than normal, thereby processing out toxins faster. People who've done it for long periods swear to its results. I plan on trying it in the late summer. Can't hurt, right?

I did it for several months. My teeth got really white and I noticed a lot of health improvments.

It is best to use seseme oil.

It is funny to see this thread because just today i decided to start back up again tomorrow morning.

I read oil pulling supposedly pulls toxins from the body. I really don't understand it. I know homeopathic meds are taken under the tongue to enter the bloodstream. Maybe oil pulling works by pulling from the bloodstream. I have no idea.

My teeth and gum health improved a lot and other problems too. From my experience I would think that it would help an abscessed tooth and it couldn't hurt.

mrdc,

Use an organic, cold-filtered oil if possible. But absolutely organic. There's no point in detoxing with oil if you're going to use some GMO crap like Crisco!

luvyuu,

Typically, one must do it regularily for two-three months to see great results. At least that's what I've heard.

if not taken care of you need to get to the source of the abcess beside draining I made that mistake thought I could do my own dental dont wait with
an abcess. mabey no pain now but the acid from the infection is eating away at
