Date: April 20, 2012 04:02PM Uh... bottled water in plastic bottles. To me this is an inferior choice even to tap water. That plastic is not stable and often the water it contains is less pure that what comes from the faucet. It's horribly polluting as well, a plastic bottle takes between 500-1000 years to biodegrade.

Plastic is not a thing I think safe to store food or drink in, nor is it something I wish to consume wherever avoidable. The manufacturing, disposal and even recycling of plastic is a horribly polluting affair. No, it's not good. Not for me. I'll stick with our Berkey filter and stainless steel canteens.
