The bit about smallpox immunity having something to do with a passed down natural immunity to HIV is very interesting to me. I've always asserted that the mass vaccinating we do is messing around with the development of the natural immunity that occurs with exposure to pathogens, viruses, disease. What are we doing to ourselves? I'm pretty sure it's not good. Re: First man "functionally" cured of HIV

I saw in a documentary special on PBS or maybe Discovery Health a couple of years ago that researchers were following the descendants of a small middle English town whose medieval inhabitants had a freakish natural immunity to Yersinia pestis, the bacterium that causes Bubonic plague. One of the things the genetic researchers studying these descendants' immunity threshold mentioned was that they seemed to be less prone to influenza and HIV infection.
Big Pharma will attempt to patent the blood and sera of all these English people to use them for profitable HIV therapies in three . . . two . . . one . . . Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
