Thanks.
You would think on raw foods I wouldnt get this, but it is very much hereditary.
But I have learned to minimize the length and severity of attacks.

That's interesting, Vinny, because convention holds that these foods aggravate gout symptoms. Once again, it's as though we are on our own planet over here smiling smiley

Oh my,everything I have read says leafy greens are great for any kind of inflammation .Gout certainly is that.
The most noted foods to avoid are the entire meat and shellfish catagory, which I dont eat anyway, and most anything with yeast.

Huh, the last time someone brought up gout on these boards, I casually looked at a few mainstream medical websites, and they didn't seem to make a distinction between the uric acid in plants and the uric acid in animal tissue. I recall thinking that this was dumb!

Of course, alternative medicine does hold that greens will cure all kinds of inflammation, and we know that to be true smiling smiley

Update:
After the long gout attack I am now recovering from severe achillies tendonitis in the same foot.Need crutches just to get from the bed to bathroom.
I hang in there with basically a veggie juice fast every day,and the pain is really easing up.

Thanks!
Yes,I should.
I have been using fresh juices for a number of yrs now for the healing of everything from gout to depression.
It does help alot!!
In fact, for the depression,I am amazed how much.
But it wasnt until I added lots of leafy greens to the juices.
