Fruitarian advocate Mango Wodzak passed away on March 25, 2025 after 2 days of illness, according to his partner Kveta. He passed from a heart attacked caused by clogged arteries. Mango was a raw vegan and later fruitarian starting in 1992.
My condolences to Kveta and the friends and family of Mango.

I believe that fruit will provide the carbohydrates you need to create the energy or ATP necessary to detox and heal your body. On the raw diet, the major sources of calories or energy is either carbs from fruit or fat from nuts, seeds, and fatty fruit. The fat is converted to glucose.
You get fewer ATPs from burning fat that you get from burning the monosaccharides or simple sugars in fruit.

Dr. Mercola, who was an early proponent of a high fat low carb keto diet, is now suggesting the opposite is more optimal -- a high-carb low-fat diet. He say under 10% fat is too low, but 30% and higher is too high. His ideal is about 15%-20%.
And the best form of carbs to eat, in terms of Dr. Mercola's suggestion, is ripe fruit. For starches, it would be white rice or boiled red potatoes.
