How do we really know what Doug Graham really eats? His ethical behaviour is very questionable. When he ran the VegSource board he deleted uncomplimentary posts but denied doing it blaming the owners of the board, after which he was booted off when he was found to be deleting them but blaming the owners of the board. Also, his lack of duty of care at his fasting resort and all the lies and obf

I've been to Lou Coronas site. He seems to have umpteen bottles of powders, supplements, probiotics, etc. that he takes on a daily basis. Most people couldn't afford to take all those, or wouldn't want to, so he doesn't seem to me to be a good example to point to. It seems more long term raw foodists are taking more packaged and bottled supplements, powders, etc. which aren't really raw, so they

Hi dvdai, I hope you're not eating too many dried dates as it could lead to serious consequences for your teeth. Also, I hope the ' I eat a lot of ' didn't specifically refer to nuts and seeds. Are you including lots of raw leafy greens in your diet. It seems you're following an old outdated model that most raw health minded people don't recommend any more. On the other hand, if it's working

Definitely not Freelee pictured above. She's given up on 100% raw or 100% fruit. Her diet includes white sugar, soft drinks and going to Thai and vegan restaurants and eating anything and everything that is labelled vegan - including junk food vegan. As long as it's labelled ' vegan ' she's ok - including sprite. That picture is now out-dated. It would be interesting to follow the 100% fruita

Good genes to start with, and good research. Well done. Every Tom Dick and Harry seems to have a Go Fund me / Patreon account or whatever online these days of one sort or another asking people for $$$'s. What gets me is that there all sorts of people willing to send money to some of these shonks. Most of those people don't work but live off Youtube and are asking hardworking people to send the

I don't think it's fair to comment on how these long lived people look or their state of health when they are at the end of their long lives. For all we know, they may ( or may not ) have been healthy, active and mobile well into their 70's, 80's and even well into their 90's before they became frail. Better to be well and healthy into your 70's, 80's and early 90's than be sick and die early

Aside from having good genes, one of the other attributing factors to living a long life is moderate minimalist eating. These people only eat enough to satisfy themselves, not to get full. Because they eat high calorie foods they don't need to overeat and stuff themselves. If they hadn't eaten the eggs or whatever but eaten healthy foods like 3 bananas they wouldn't have been satisfied and wou

According to the article they " spend most of every day hunting, fishing, farming and gathering wild fruits and nuts " as well as " protein from animal meat accounts for only 14% of their diet and fats make up the same proportion ". If you're going to refer to an article you shouldn't cherry pick what suits you - but be accurate in your depiction, and they don't eat a raw

Fresh wrote ' do you understand the difference between single cases and large population studies ? '. That's exactly the point. What relevance does healthy eating or long life have with someone standing in the park without his shirt on ( no disrespect to John intended )? The fact that one person with good genetics and good metabolism ( or two if you include Doug Graham ) shows themselves off

This is another myth created to prove a point. Here's a more realistic question. We actually have 100% raw vegans ( more or less ) who live under ideal circumstances in the tropics : 100% tree ripened plant food from good soil, fruit picked fresh off the tree, many thousands of generations of 100% raw plant vegans, unpolluted atmosphere, etc, yet they only have a lifespan of 50 or so years - t

David Wolfe is the biggest snake oil salesman around these days. He's gone off in a different direction from when he first started - anything for a buck. I wonder how much his Ozone machines cost. He doesn't even look well - maybe he needs to get on the Ozone himself. People have tried Ozone and it's just a scam.

The real reason this board is dead is because of you Fresh, and to a lesser extent John Rose. Have you ever bothered to read the boards policy statement where it says '' to support people on a primarily raw plant based diet ( including honey )? It doesn't say people have to be 100% raw or eat a high fruit diet, yet every time someone voices their opinion, talks about their personal experiences o

Fresh, from someone who supports a most unscientific diet like 80 /10 / 10 to raise the term ' scientific ' is laughable.

Organic1, you got it wrong here. The diet didn't fail. The people '' weren't doing it right '', according to Fresh's logic. Harley and Freelee and doing great so everyone else must be doing it wrong - just like with 80/10/10.

John, do you sleep up a tree at night, or on the ground outside where you make your bed with leaves? What did people do before we had houses? Do you have a shower from a tap, or go down to the creek to bathe? What did people do before we had plumbing? Do you shave with the tools you sharpen yourself, or do you use store bought blades? Your idiotic question is what I call '' selective hyp

SueZ, you stole my thunder from downunder. It seems John ' Moe ' Rose is very selective when it comes to criticising ( Aust spelling - we use 's ' instead of 'z ') people for their grammar. What I don't understand is how on the one hand he claims ' cooking is the downfall of mankind ', yet he is happy to supply us with mindless numbingly boring and inane quotes ad nauseum ad infinitum from these

Banana who said, '' In the tropics, I bet I could be a fruitarian without a second thought ''. I bet you couldn't. I moved to the tropics ( Cairns North Qld ) thinking the same thing - along with many many others, but the reality was way different from the fantasy. I even lived on an organic farm where I ate fresh jackfruit, papayas, bananas, etc. fresh off the tree - but there was nothing magica

I watched the video before Fresh posted the link as I subscribe to OKRAW and I looked at it from a totally different perspective. TSM, I think Fresh is just saying it to get you worked up ... and it's working. Paul is just presenting his own personal views. Also, he now has a wife and 3 children and they eat cooked food so two days a week he joins them and eats cooked food. There is more to l

Have you read the book '' The Grape Cure '' by Johanna Brandt? She lived in the 1920's in South Africa and had cancer. She tried numerous fasts of 14 - 21 days, and while the fasting arrested her cancer, when she went back to normal eating her cancer continued until one day she decided to only eat grapes. She ate only moderate amounts of grapes for 6 weeks and according to her, her cancer dis

Fresh wrote '' I would say it's mostly not genetics '', and that's where we disagree. I have given my reasons and explanation on why I believe genetics is mostly a problem ( along with a very very slow transition ), while your only explanation is that everyone who doesn't succeed is '' doing it wrong '', as opposed to looking at the huge number of people who are all ''' doing it wrong '' and aski

In what way do you disagree with the conclusion? I have posited my theory on the current state of human genetics about 4 times now on this board. Some people have great genetics, great digestion, great metabolism and good body chemistry. Others don't. The fact that Doug, Harley and JR ( and maybe you as well ) have great genetics et al means that you are able to do things to the nth degree - wh

Maybe John '' Hitler '' Rose is not a psychopath but a schizophrenic and he doesn't realise it, so maybe we should allow for his split personality. Perhaps in the daylight hours he is ok, and then when the sun sets he becomes like the Werewolf of London - he turns into this nasty person as soon as he sits in front of a computer. For someone who is supposedly a long time raw foodist he doesn't

For those who haven't ordered Gayelord Hausers book I'll give a bit of a synopsis. Well into the 1950's, 60's and 70's as well as Gayelord Hauser, there was also Lelord Kordell, Bernard Jensen, Jack Lalanne, Bragg and Ehret. Neither of the first 5 were raw foodists, vegans or even vegetarians. The core of their principles was to avoid refined processed junk food, as well as well replacing thi

According to Luigi Cornaros book, the 14 ounces were wine, not grape juice. How long will Doug live eating 15 bananas when he hits his 70's? Also, going by Dougs record of honesty with his fasting resort in Costa Rica, I wouldn't believe anything he says. Who's to say what he eats in the privacy of his home? Harley and John Kohler have a track record of openness and honesty in what they ea

I'm not saying any diet is flawed. I'm saying that people who offer their diet as the one that works for everyone, and if it's not working for them then they are applying it is wrong, that is where the irrationality and flaw comes in. If someone tries the above diet and it doesn't satisfy them, doesn't provide them with enough energy, then they need to keep looking ( what about the sea salt )
