Hi Jose, It's nice to hear from you again. =) Hmmm... In my opinion, Buddha is neither "divine" nor supernatural. In fact, Buddha never make the claim that he has created the physical world in the universe. Regarding reincarnation, I think the most popular case of reincarnation is which happened in 1930. "The internationally acclaimed Shanti Devi case is one of the most

Hi Jose, This is the first time I'm writing you a message and I think I have read many of your wonderful threads on this forum, including "A4 papercut", which I find particularly interested in. :-) Hmmm... so this is a thread on religion right? From what I can tell from your previous posts, you are a quite open-minded person and I believe we can have a warm conversation on this. T

Hi arilraw, I wasn't much of a confident guy in this 5'7" and 110 pound body frame and I didn't become more confident than I was until I read an article on newspaper. When the writer of the article was still a kid, she got into a competition but didn't manage to win any prizes and got really upset. After she reached home, her father found out about it and told her: "Show me your f

Hi everyone, In the book "Messages from Water", Dr Masaru Emoto pointed out that it was in the frozen crystal form that water showed us its true nature through and water is deeply connected to our individual and collective consciousness. The news was soon spread over to Taiwan. A teacher in Taiwan primary school carried out an experiment with the help of children by using just thr

Hi lemoned, May I know if you are an atheist? If so, maybe next time when you're experiencing it again, you could try to chant the Buddha's name, which is "Namo Amitabha". Have faith in Buddha that Buddha will protect you under any circumstances. BTW, please do not consume any meats. At this critical moment, it's very important for you to stay vegan. Hope it helps. If I were to eat 100% cooked foods, I hope that I can eat nothing but wholemeal foods, e.g. wholemeal bread, wholemeal noodles and wholemeal bun. I'm sorry if it sounds like a stupid answer in this forum, even under this topic. I've no single scientific proof to back up my answer but yes, that's what I'd do. On the other hand, if I were to start 100% raw food diet, it would be just watermelons

Hello coco, pihourova and MauiGreg, Yes I think it's unnecessary for me to bring up a topic like this since no one here is wasting their foods at the first place. Haha, maybe I'm just oversensitive about certain things. It's good to know that most of you are having great improvements on raw. Keep that going! =) All the Best, Wong

Hi The Fruitarian One, Please come and learn Pure Land Buddhism! We want you!!! All the words you said is exactly what a Buddhist need to learn all along and you already have done it!! In Pure Land Buddhism, what we do is really simple. Eat a vegan diet and chant the name of Buddha - Namo Amitabha. At the moment you leave this world, Amitabha Buddha will come and bring you to Pure Land.

Hi coco, I see. =) Surely I'm not encouraging any of you to eat grains. The message I wish to deliver is that even if we avoid eating certain foods, we don't have to trash them. For example, we are all vegans here right? We don't eat raw/cooked eggs, but everytime we see them, we don't throw them onto the floor and step them. We don't do it because it has a life within them and we cherish l

Hi all, I know this is a raw vegan forum, and people on this board see cooked foods as toxic to our body. But what I wish to say is that, nevertheless, foods such as grains are still the fruit of painstaking labour of farmers. Although that grains may not be as healthy as raw fruits and vegetables, grains can be fed to the dying children in Africa and they'll be able to thrive in a much better

ifoundkristina, No, I don't think so. Virtually all plant foods contain all 8/9/10 essential amino acids (depending on your sources), just varies in the amount. In simple, as long as you consume enough calories, you will definitely meet your protein needs. Have you read the book titled "Diet for A New America" by John Robbins? I think it's a great book as it covers all the informa

Hi ifoundkristina, Welcome to the board! =) I have a question. Why do you think that a vegan/vegetarian who doesn't consume nuts, legumes and soy won't get sufficient protein from his diet? As far as I know, a cooked and non-organic vegan diet without nuts, legumes and soy can still provide more than enough protein because whole-grains alone will do the trick. Just my 2 cent. All the

Hi Brendan B- I think the name is He Shou Wu in chinese. In English, it is called Polygonum multiflorum. In my opinion, detoxification symptoms such as losing their hair or teeth has to do with one's sex life. Having sex/masturbation can cause a lot of harms/damages to our body but nobody really knows it or really care about it. The most significant changes that one will notice is that, after

Hi all, I found a very interesting/meaningful article regarding today's discovery of science compare to the ancient. However, it's in Chinese and I can't translate them into English 'cause my English is really poor. And I think that it would be nice if it's in English so everyone can read it. Many thanks in advance. All the Best, Wong

Hi Cynthia, I think that happened to me too, but it happened to me after only one month of 100% raw. I'm also not a coffee addict to begin with and I think lack of stimulants accounts for this feeling of unmotivated. As a result, I quitted eating 100% raw after just a month of 100% raw but now I feel that I failed because I jumped into 100% too quickly. So what I'm going to do now is to change

Hi Daisyduke, I'm glad that you actually asked that questions. =) For me, I think that Buddism is the most suitable religion for humans (all living beings in fact). In Buddism, there are also many things to learn, but I put my focus on Pure Land Buddhism. What we do is just simple, eat a vegan diet and chant the name of Buddha - Namo Amitabha.
