Thank you very much for you all's input. I think I'll get a Green Star juicer when I've got the money. According to GS's advertisement, "Other juicers and blenders with fast rotating blades can destroy a substantial amount of nutrients in fruits and vegetables due to the heat during the operation of the machine". Is that true? Again, why don't I absorb all the nutrients in greens

Arugula, You and Bryan are both correct. You tried to help others with what you know about science and raw food, while Bryan tried to help others with his personal experiences as a 100% raw foodist for many years. There's nothing wrong on both sides. All the best, Wong

Meg xo, Why don't I absorb all the nutrients in greens if I swallow them whole? Is it because of too much non water-soluble fibers in them or is it something else? BTW, any nutrients left in pulp if I juiced them? Will drinking the liquid alone be enough? Thanks for your respond. All the best, Wong

Hi all, For greens, is it better to juice them or to blend them? I only have a juicer but no blenders. If I juiced them, what am I gonna do with the remains? Or I'll just eat them the way it is without juicing or blending them? Many thanks in advance. All the best, wong

Hi flex4life, I think the classic raw food bodybuilder would be Richard Blackman a.k.a. The Fruitarian One. He has been doing this fruitarian lifestyle - only fruits, not even nuts & seeds - over 13 years in a row (he's 37 now). Someone in this website said that he gained 40 pounds a month but I had no idea how he found out. The main thing is that F1's body is completely free of cooke

Just my personal feeling, people on raw are either believe in science or nature.People who focused in science will and only will say that nature is right if it can be proven with current scientific researches. They tend to feel that science is more reliable than what is found randomly in nature, while people believed in nature just eat whatever they can get hold of, as long as they are raw and in

That website is the first website which introduced me to raw foodism with all the scientific proofs that raw is good. Anyway, I still find it interesting with the idea that methionine is the most limiting amino acid of all and that raw saturated fat is actually beneficial. Also, the site in fact promotes consuming raw cholestrol to develop our brain and raw vegetables are bad due to the wa

ela, I stay in Johor, south of Johor. Durian season differs by a bit in Malaysia depending on the location. Sometimes I can't find anymore durians here but still see plenty in northern part of Malaysia (e.g. Penang) after a month or so.

Hi TroySantos, personally I prefer Malaysian durian over Thai monthon. I've tried Thai monthon several times but I'm not sure if they were from southern Thailand. To me, I think the differences between them two are that Thai monthon has stronger/better smell but less tasty, and the Malaysian varieties are vice versa. For agricultural chemical part I think that Malaysians and Thais are pretty

Hi rawgosia, durian is a local fruit in my country (Malaysia) so I always get to eat the fresh ones. Once I had 30+ days 100% raw and eat almost 100% durian. Most of them are organic because I bought them from my primary school teacher who planted lots of durian trees in her yard without using any pesticides or stuff like that. I don't remember feeling dehydrated that time but my experience may n

Hi all, I'm male from southern part of Malaysia, close to Singapore. Read about raw foodism 2 years ago but not yet 100% raw. My longest stretch of 100% raw only lasts 34 days, will try harder though.

Hi everyone, I found that sometimes when I was brushing my teeth, my mouth starts to bleed inside. Maybe that's because I was brushing with too much strength. Does this happen to you?

I think there's a way. Put the bunch of bananas in an air-tight plastic bag. It ripes faster that way. I think that's because bananas release natural gases that make them ripe after plucked from trees.

Hi guys and gals, I've some questions about bananas here and I hope you people can give me some of your opinions. (1) It may sounds a bit funny but I heard that we should be eating whole banana, without peeling the skin, because eating only the fresh can be acidic. True? (2) Some people dislike bananas because bananas without seeds is hybridized, which have low energy level. But I thought th
