Here's a link: I understand what your saying Rob but/so, we (people who only buy nuts, veggies and fruits) don't have to worry about the different USDA defintions of "Orgainic"? I'm mean with most if not all veggies/fruits/nuts sold in most if not all health food/co-ops only have the plain "Organic" label/tag on them, not "100%" Doesn't that mean there o

Sodoffsocks, summed it up the best! Mike's right on with the high sugar content on fruit juices. I'll have to dig up the link but somewheres Gabriel Cousins (Conscious Eating/Living) mentions, when drinking fruit juice you should add some sea salt (sodium) to it. Can't remember why but reading the article made a lot of sense.

So if someone was following/living this lifestyle for a few years and you decided to have your numbers ran. They turned out to be not what you expected or not where they should be. What would you do? I mean, How could this be possible, Why has this happened, Now What?

I've had several different types: Deglect Noor (aka honey date & the most common), Desert Delight, Desert Moza, Medjool (2nd most common), Barhi (or Bahri), Zahanni and Golden Zahaidi. The honey dates are really sweat and high on the Glycemic chart. Desert Moza (substanially less sweet) are my favorite, followed by Golden Zahaidi

This question will only get answered from most people who had improvements and little (I said little!) to no answers from people who've had no improvements or actually rawfoods making it worse (that's a bad word, I'll say "less drive"...... In fact, I would say this goes for most topics (topics, meaning anything related to rawfoods) on living-foods......... ..... ...... .....

You know "Organic" is or can be a godsend for us produce consumers but I hate how there's different meanings for the word "Organic". I believe there's 3 or 4 different definitions of the word "Organic" that the food industry can use. I'll post later what there exact meanings are but here's what I've gathered:: *100% Organic: Anything and everything has to be

I use to not drink much water and eat mostly fruit but I do exercise a lot and now drink probably a half gallon of water a day. I also believe in the theory of one's urine color. Being that, the more yellow (dark) your urine is the less hydrated you are, and the clearer your urine is the more fluids you've drank or fruits you've eaten.. Btw: Penta Hydrate & Super Oxy-Up are IMHO S

Does anyone get the Sunday's newspaper? If so, do look at or read the free Parade magazine that comes with the paper? The little article on Jay Leno (Issue 12, 2006 * Page 5 * right paragraph) is exactly what I'm talking about. Jay, clearly states he's never eaten a salad or even ate a vegetable since 1969. Now I know he doesn't look healthy, but he proclaims he doesn't have any heal

I can see how we've evolved and everything but I still believe Soy, Rice, Tofu are worse for us than say eating tons of nuts. I usually eat in a balance (I don't favor fruits/greens/fats). I, for over a year I cut out fats all together and that caused me with a plethora of problems. It's like the "Honey vs. Agave", I use to think that agave was tons better than honey but but

I absolutely don't practice, advocate or conduce these action, but What would you eat if you went back to the SAD way of eating? There's so much junk food out there, it's "quite frankly" scary!!! What I'm getting to is in the years I've been vegetarian/vegan/raw I personally believe that something like an organic range free turkey would be better than a soy turkey or tofu turk

Do you think rawfoods (whether it be 80/10/10, all greens, all fruits, all fats, 40/30/30, etc.) works better for females? Maybe better isn't the right word but I think you get the gist... I know, I know, There's many of us Men that have or is living the raw lifestyle (and for many years to boot) but, It seems to me that in general women/females do better on rawfoods. Again, I already kno

Ginger and Cayenne really do aid some people who eat rawfoods and get really cold in the fall/winter months. Supplements are good as well (I think most or at least some who eat rawfoods take a B-12 supplement). Aren't foods such as cacao or goji berries or E3 or Nature's First Food (I could make a huge list) considered supplements, yes/no???

I think the general consensus is that people want to look good on the outside but there's a few people like me who want to feel the best on the inside. la_veronique, I like how you carefully chose your words "for example, if one eats junk the outside may reflect that", "may reflect". There are so many people who can literally eat junk food all there lives with no affect

Inside or outside? I use to think that healing yourself on the inside was easier because as we all know books, magazines, TV, internet, etc. portrays us humans as an image (perfect body, hair, skin, teeth, etc - which is stuff IMHO) we should strive for. I don't even care what other people think about me but if you have inner-lining (inside) problems it is or can be a struggle to heal yoursel

There truly is differences in the raw-lifestyle. Some say fruits (Douglas Grahams), some say Greens (Victoria Bountenko), some say balance (Gabriel Cousins, Stephen Arlin, David Jubbs, Rose Calabro, Tonya Zavasta), some say superfoods (David Wolfe, Shazzie). some don't know what to say anymore (Federic Patenaude, Paul Nison). Follow the heart and find what's best for you.

Well, If you heard of or read the book Green for Life by Victoria Bountenko Her two kids (daughter Valya & som Sergei), Husband Igor and herself started struggling on rawfoods after over ten years . So she and family began incorporating a lot more greens with astounding (at least that's what she writes in her book) results. The book mentions how they began drinking green smoothies (

This is a tough or should I say touchy subject because most people either ignore or deny some of the complications that can arise from eating and living a rawfoods lifestyle. A rawfoodists for almost 7 (I began April 6th, 2000) years. No cheating, no falling off the bandwagon, no bread, no meat (it's actually been 16 years since), no processed foods (Not even sampling of SAD foods or even foo
