3/2 Felt nauseous this morning and knackered this afternoon. Emotionally see sawing. Events of the day, had my first singing lesson. Really like my teacher. Argentinian 60-something cat lover. Apparently I should tighten my perenium all the time. Saw the ex's in-laws. Not a pleasant experience. Eats banana and spinach smoothie big salad with olives, sundried toms dressing of oil and

Thankyou rawlibrarian, those were some really helpful comments. I didn't use braggs, not something I can get here in France to easily, I substituted a teaspoon of marmite. I'm backing off for a while, just the thought makes me feel nauseous. But I'm new and detoxing so goodness knows whats going on with the body anyway. I felt horrible this morning too and very tired in the afternoon. Could

Did the stuffed mushrooms today from this site and felt Very queer after, to coin an old fashioned phrase.Heady, dizzy, nauseous almost, sore throat later on. Felt 'orrible' I've had this before with mushrooms. Thought it was my imagination or dismissed it because I like mushrooms. I shall dehydrate them more and then give them away to a friend who's into raw. I can't face that again! Anyone else

August 28th Dear all, time for a new post. Do you know I never saw any of your supportive posts back to me? I just checked today some two months later and was so pleased to see all those supportive messages from you all. Thankyou SO much. But I sort of stopped posting because I didn't see any of those and I have no idea why! How strange. I kind of felt I was talking to a void. Or rather th

June 30th I realise my last post was of a highly personal nature. You know I don't mean to disrespect him as a human being or publically name call to make myself feel better. I don't even feel angry at him anymore. I don't think he is lazy actually for what it's worth although I do think he is very self limiting and has no regard for a relationship in his life (me). So yes lazy in relation to

june 24th ok, so this is a hard time and first things first, determined will not give up and give in. so with the aide of a fabulous hypnosis stop smoking download, this is day three off cigarettes. I am determined that I will not buckle into this one self defeating habit for if I can do this now without cigarettes I need never go back again. To cigarettes again. As long as I have a healthy w

19/19/09 I'm back to eating some cooked. I don't feel so great, obviously. I am smoking too. I don't know what the answer is for me right now; I found the strength to move on in my life with the greater clarity it eating raw gave me but I have some serious personal upheaval to deal with. Numbing myself as I have done through cigarettes and I guess comfort eating (toasted cheese sandwiches) bef

June 10th So I have posted a general query to the main forum to challenge my concept of 80% raw ! Seems I don't, erm, really know what I am talking about... Continuing to try hard though, despite evidence on certain foods to the contrary. A long day... beautiful weather here in the alps. God, I'm going to miss this place. There's a slim chance I can stay if my old counsellor will hire me as

Wow.... Long way to go then. Ok, I could be discouraged at this point. Or I could say 7 weeks ago I was eating cooked food all the time except for breakfast ( banana and spinach smoothies ) including meat daily and the occasional bit of fruit, maybe an apple daily. The change for me has been immense cutting out cooked foods such as rice, bread, sausages, ham,you name it, although I didn't eat

Calories sounds the best way to count it. I hadn't considered what to measure the percentages in, which may account for my confusion. I will make a list of all I eat in a week and see what we've got at the end of it, thanks for your help, starting today. The foods I mentioned? raw or not raw? thank you !! Arrow

Here's things that I eat which are ? not raw: tamari, essene bread, garlic, ginger, 'biscru' (dehydrated shop bought cracker) herbal teas, green tea, tap and bottled water, nuts, nori wraps, hoummous. Just trying to think of anything else, vegan supplement, spirulina, olive oil, nut oil, olives. Apart from that fruit and seeds and veggie

8th June Once I am home in the uk and earning I will be able to afford a dehydrater, organic food and a spiraliser! I will grow a little vegetable patch and be able to source foods more easily such as kale and nut oil. I will be a better mum too. I will have the strength to kick smoking again and caffeine for the first time ever - just water! put my boys on a super mainly raw healthy diet. No

June 7th Hi guys - maintained a 80% raw diet when I was back in the uk. It was pretty difficult. Mum took the family all out for a pub lunch and there was no salad on the menu! I ended up having scallops and salmon for main course. We also went for a meal out and unbeknown to me until I got there, it was a carvery. I know that she would have been upset had I insisted I had lots of cooked veg a

Month 1 Summary; Didn't post for 8 days because I didn't think I could do it! The inital withdrawal was milder but more prolonged than giving up smoking. Fatigue, buzzy skin crawly sensations and sleeplessness with vivid dreams. These faded after day 14 or so. At the same time I was experiencing immediate benefits. Clearer skin, brighter eyes, no aches and pains when I got up in the morning an

The way I have done it for the past month, as a newbie also, and been pretty successful so far,I like to think, is never limit your fruit and veg intake and carry snacks around at all times, seeds and dried fruits, so you are stronger to resist cravings. Don't focus on the body and how you feel you look, focus on growing energy and goals you can achieve in your life now you have greater energy le

Day 24 Felt great all day, back on track with all not quite raw. Apart from my usual green tea, herbal teas, and tonight I had a 2 squares of organic chocolate after drooling over frestopias video on raw chocolate pie. I went swimming with the boys and some friends today with a picnic to follow. Both talked about dieting and I mentioned I was on all raw, but they weren't very interested and s

Day 23 Back on track, despite Archie waking me 7 times in the night. Bought linseed to make crackers. I will have a go in the oven at a low temp over night. Another cigarette crept in tonight. I should acknowledge there are other areas in my life that need adressing. I do acknowledge them, but this isn't the forum for all that :-) Raw food will give me the energy and strength to deal with this

Day 22 So, I have to tell you I made lunch for a neighbour who is a great chef, I was a little nervous of it turning out well, she doesn't have children either, so things are planned and not rushed in her life. I was inspired by Quickburgers nordic salad and made a prawn and salmon salad with bulgar wheat with a tarrogan and sorrel dressing and acocado salsa with dehdrated chips for starter. I

Day 21 Brilliant, glad to be inspiring. My boys have had a cold for 2 weeks now with bad coughs. I'm usually first to catch something from then, first to complain of low energy, want to rest up a lot...no cold, no cough, nothing to report. I have dropped a trousers size, the new trousers I got for summer a month ago are slipping off too much to wear. I am a size, well, was a size 12.(uk) Wasn'

This is actually day 20 So, when I began this I din't imagine I would have come so far in such a short space of time. I just am amazed at the energy levels I have which includes a greater calmness with my family. I cannot imagine wanting to compromise these feelings. For example today, despite being woken 4 or 5 times in the night by my little one who was poorly, I got up at 7am to do car boo

I wish I'd had the courage to pursue this line of thought before my children were born but unfortunately they've both had vaccines to start with. Recently lots of things seems to be becoming more clear to me. Personally I suffered a bad bout of glandular fever when I was three and I had to learn to walk again. I was always pale and sickly as a child. Apart from a poor diet one wonders where this

Day 15 A brief one this evening. Feeling great or did, til I did yoga. I have poor posture, getting a dowagers hump, going to do my absolute best to readjust posture. It's more apparent since I have lost weight off shoulders through nordic walking. Did yoga, 6 salutes to the sun and self corrected posture all day, looking in mirror to stick chest out, pull head up. Only problem is it's given
