I use to love onions. I just had a salad with some red onion in it after some abstinence. Not very much mind you. All I can taste now is onion and I became sluggish and tired. I just went jogging for 3 miles to get back to my nirvana. Exercise tends to be the cure all for me when I get this way. When I eat any onion anymore I get this way, whether it is organic or not. I'm glad some

I was hiking today out at a place called Blue Mound State Park in minnesota, USA and came upon this beautiful fruity smell that hung in the nares for but a moment when the wind was coming from a certain direction. It was amazing. A kindly woman ventured a guess at the fermenting prickly pear fruit: She went on to say that the Native Americans consumed it and was very sweet. I had to

powerlifer, these studies you speak of have little use to utopian life, apparently. Those studies, also, have little use to me. I know what I prefer and what works for me.

i'd like to just go in there without any sort of game plan 'cause I think I act best as a 3-5 year old. More often than not kids get along with me. Having a 'script' takes the phun away. Making the grade is for the birds.

Some really great ideas here and I appreciate all of them. The one thing I want to do more than anything is bring fruits and vegetables but we cannot. So, it would have to be a cut out of some sort. @newhoove-going to go look for the Hungry Caterpillar right now. @Tamukha-your idea of animal pics sounds great. I might be able to bring real foods as a prop only as well. @

A project for nursing school is to do a 10-15 minute class on a topic of our choice to 3-5 year old's at a Head Start program. I'm doing mine on healthy snacks. Granted, 10-15 minutes isn't that long, but I'm not too familiar with this age group. I did get some materials off the CDC website and I'm still searching the web, but does anyone who has more experience in this area have any links

initially, i wouldn't worry so much about the seed/nut intake. If you are physically and mentally okay from the seeds/nuts than it works for now. Your body more than likely will tell you when enough is enough. I feel too much of that is better than the sushi.

I saw a picture of a brussel sprout/potato meal a nonraw friend of mine cooked up and the sight alone of the brussel sprouts made me want some. So, the next day I ate some raw and they tasted good, but boy did I burp up something fierce!

I use to have a thing for sprouts. A certain flavor predominates when I eat them now. I find this flavor in certain vegetables such as peas and greens that I dislike. It didn't seem to be there before, but it is now. I guess that means to lay off the sprouts, peas, and green beans.

Hey, thanks for all the feedback. Some of those oils looked kinda spendy for me. Maybe a little goes a long way, though. I've been going barefoot, taking NSAIDs, and applying heat. My foot is almost completely better. I was really worried that it was something more serious. I'm glad it wasn't. Thanks again Here's me and Mew Kittens being really happy about it:

I hurt my foot without a known cause. In the morning, it's extremely difficult to walk, but it seems to loosen up throughout the day. It was so bad one day that I finally took some ibuprofen. It's been almost 4 years since I've taken any medication and I'm rather heartbroken about it. Things could be worse, for sure. I finally went to the doctor today and they took x-rays and a uric acid

Hey Want2know, are you still looking to get your calories? I made something the other night that I found turned out rather good. You'll need a food processor. 1 lb pitted dates 1/2 cup water sleeve of celery 2 cucumbers a bunch of mint a bunch of green chives 1 lemon a jalapeno-optional 1/2 white onion-optional Put the pitted dates, celery, mint(lots), water, and 1 cucumber in t

As great as you feel your stance is, I think it'll ultimately be counter-productive even though I think you are right.

How does it make you feel? eat as much of it as your body seems to need. I was eating dried, but slowly I would feel worse and worse. Eventually I cut it out all together except for the rare instance.
